Mix intro

The idea to record a mix is devoted to such an atmospheric phenomenon like rain, and to the people who have a special attitude to it, arose in May of this year. Then on our land, for a whole month, it was rainy weather and the same mood, which I have tried to convey in this mix.

«The Rain. By a thousand drops, it is drawing the thin countless strings that bind heaven and earth together, when the gray clouds and the gray world are close like never before. Then falls silent all around, even a motley mask and hypocrisy of the world, there remains only the music, bewitching rhythms of rain. It is not sadness, nor it is a sorrow - this is the good melancholy.

Only the way of existence and self-sensation. When there is no one else, just me and the rain that is tapping shaman tunes and playing on exposed nerves - the strings of my soul. At such moments I know everything, I am becoming the whole world, and dissolving in the one. Then the quiet bliss fills my nature. I am immersing to the rain, like to the nirvana, staying in this position in time and space. Because I’m the Man of the Rain ... »

About Scafolder

Roman was born and lives in a small town near Lviv, the center of the Western Ukraine. Love and passion to an experimental music has appeared not so long ago, in 2005. It all started with the listening to legendary radio show Breezblock from Mary Anne Hobbs (now it's Experimental Show), while there was played mostly IDM-music.

And then — new names, new labels, and new hobby until today. As a result, at the approach to the choice of music, he has developed his own style, which occasionally experiences transforcations: the presence in the tracks of the mechanistic beat, melancholy, futuristic mood and lyrics.

Scafolder likes tracks with a mixture of IDM and future jazz, IDM and modern classical, click-hop. In 2006 he graduated from the professional DJ - school «DJ School PARADEK» in Lviv. Then, two years of residency in a local club "Yucatan", thus could not found himself fully realized because of the commercial music policy of the institution. Today he is giving most of the time to education, music and recreation ;-)
